Moving Abu Dhabito Dubai
An inter-emirate move is a different job from a local one. Two buildings. Two permit systems. Two toll roads. One crew that knows all of it — from your Abu Dhabi NOC to your Dubai move-in permit — under one written flat fee.
🔒 Flat fee confirmed in writing · DARB & Salik tolls always included · Both permits handled
Moving from Abu Dhabi to Dubai costs between AED 1,800 and AED 8,500 as a guaranteed flat fee, depending on property size. Expert Movers UAE is an Abu Dhabi DED-licensed moving company based in Abu Dhabi that has handled inter-emirate relocations since 2013. The flat fee covers packing materials, crew, an Asateel-compliant GPS-tracked truck, furniture disassembly and reassembly, Abu Dhabi building NOC guidance, Dubai move-in permit coordination, DARB toll fees, and Salik toll fees. Nothing is added on moving day.
The 130-kilometre E11 route requires planning at both ends simultaneously — your Abu Dhabi building has its own permit process and your Dubai destination has a separate one. Most moves are structured as full-day jobs, with villa moves typically running across two days. The earlier you start in Abu Dhabi, the better — 7:00 AM loading means arriving in Dubai well before peak traffic builds on the E11.
Why the Abu Dhabi End Is the Part Most Movers Get Wrong
When you search for movers from Abu Dhabi to Dubai, most of the results are Dubai-based companies offering Abu Dhabi as an inbound route. There is nothing wrong with that for the Dubai end. The problem is the Abu Dhabi end.
Your building in Abu Dhabi has specific permit requirements that a Dubai company, covering Abu Dhabi occasionally, may not know in detail. A tower on Al Reem Island needs a move-out NOC applied 48 hours in advance from the building's facilities management office — not from ADNEC, not from the developer, from the specific management company for that building. A Khalifa City compound villa needs a gate pass from the compound security, with the truck details submitted in advance. Yas Island communities use Aldar's management portal. Saadiyat Island TDIC properties have their own procedure. Getting any of these wrong means a stalled move on the day — your crew sitting in a truck outside a locked gate while you make calls.
Expert Movers UAE is based in Abu Dhabi. We operate across every major Abu Dhabi community daily. We know the specific permit requirements for your building before we arrive — not because we looked them up, but because we handle them regularly. That is what Abu Dhabi origin expertise actually means for an inter-emirate move.
What an Abu Dhabi to Dubai Move Actually Involves
Beyond the permit coordination, the logistics of a 130-kilometre inter-emirate move differ from a local one in ways that affect every stage of the job. The truck needs to be loaded to a higher standard — items that are fine for a 10-minute local journey need proper bracing for 90 minutes on the E11 at highway speed. The crew needs to be sized for a full day, not a half day. The schedule needs buffer time for the highway journey and for building access at the Dubai end, which can involve waiting for a service elevator slot or a parking bay allocation in a busy community.
Everything is included in the flat fee: packing materials, crew, truck, all furniture disassembly and reassembly at both ends, the DARB toll charges in Abu Dhabi, the Salik toll charges on the E11 and in Dubai, and fuel for the full round trip. You receive the quoted price before we arrive and that price is on the final invoice.

→ Hidden Moving Costs: Abu Dhabi to Dubai — what to know before you bookThe E11 Route — What the Journey Actually Looks Like
The E11 Sheikh Zayed Road connects Abu Dhabi to Dubai in approximately 130 kilometres. Moving trucks take roughly 90 minutes each way under normal conditions — longer during peak hours, which is why early loading matters. The route passes through several Salik toll gates on the Dubai side and through DARB (Abu Dhabi's toll system) at the bridges on departure. Both sets of tolls are absorbed into your flat fee.
Booking the move for a midweek date — Tuesday to Thursday — avoids the Friday and Saturday traffic that makes the E11 slower and less predictable. Avoiding the last week of any month is also worth doing: lease handovers in both Abu Dhabi and Dubai peak at month-end, which means more competition for elevator slots, parking bays, and building access windows at both ends.

Permits, Tolls, and Timing — How an Abu Dhabi to Dubai Move Actually Works
These are the four moving parts that separate a smooth inter-emirate move from a delayed one. All four are handled as part of the service.
Abu Dhabi Building NOC
Most managed towers and gated communities in Abu Dhabi require a move-out permit before the crew can enter. Al Reem Island towers typically need 48 hours notice from the building's management company. Khalifa City and MBZ City compounds need a gate pass with truck details submitted to compound security. Yas Island uses the Aldar management portal. Saadiyat Island requires TDIC documentation. We tell you exactly what your building needs and when to apply — before you even book the move.
Dubai Move-In Permit
Your Dubai destination building has its own permit requirement, managed entirely separately from Abu Dhabi. Most managed towers in Dubai Marina, JLT, Downtown Dubai, and Business Bay require a move-in notification to the facilities management office, including truck details and a time window. Some buildings require a deposit cheque held against damage. We guide you through the Dubai end as part of the service — coordinating the timing so both permits cover the same move day.
DARB and Salik Toll Costs
The E11 route passes through DARB toll bridges leaving Abu Dhabi (Sheikh Zayed Bridge, Mussafah Bridge, and Al Maqta Bridge) and through multiple Salik gates in Dubai on the E11 approach. Both toll systems are fully electronic — no cash, no stopping. Our trucks are registered for both. All toll costs are included in your flat fee. The inter-emirate surcharge in our pricing absorbs every toll crossing in both directions — it is never itemised separately on your invoice.
Timing the Move Day Correctly
An Abu Dhabi to Dubai move needs an early start. Crew arrival at your Abu Dhabi property by 7:00 AM means loading completes before 11:00 AM for a standard 2-bedroom apartment, the truck reaches Dubai by 12:30 PM, and unloading and setup complete by early evening. Leaving Abu Dhabi after 10:00 AM means arriving in Dubai during midday traffic and fighting for a building elevator during the afternoon peak. We always recommend confirming the earliest access window your building allows for loading.

How an Abu Dhabi to Dubai Move Day Runs
A 2-bedroom apartment as the example. Villa moves follow the same sequence across two days.
Your written flat fee is confirmed by WhatsApp or phone. We tell you exactly what your Abu Dhabi building requires for the move-out NOC and when to apply. You submit one form or email to building management — we handle the coordination from there. We also guide you on the Dubai move-in permit process for your destination building.
Our crew arrives at your Abu Dhabi address with all packing materials. Building security confirms the NOC is in place and the service elevator is booked. Packing begins room by room — every item wrapped, every box labelled clearly for the Dubai unpack.
All furniture is disassembled, wrapped, and loaded strategically for the highway journey. The truck passes through the DARB toll bridges leaving Abu Dhabi — all covered in the flat fee. The E11 journey to Dubai takes approximately 90 minutes under normal midday conditions.
The crew arrives at your Dubai building. Building security confirms the move-in permit and allocates the service elevator time window. Unloading begins — boxes go to the correct rooms, furniture goes to the confirmed positions. The Salik toll charges on the E11 are absorbed in the flat fee.
All furniture is rebuilt at your Dubai address — beds reassembled, wardrobes erected, dining table set up. You walk through the property. The invoice is the number we quoted before the move began. Nothing added.
