How Do Permits Work at Both Ends?
- Abu Dhabi end: towers usually ask for a move-out permit, often 24 to 48 hours ahead, and villa communities ask for a gate pass with the truck details. See our guide to the move-out permit (NOC) in Abu Dhabi.
- Who applies: the permits need your tenancy details, so you apply for them. We tell you exactly what each building needs and send our truck and crew details to security.
- Dubai end: most towers and communities ask for a move-in permit with a set time window, and some take a refundable deposit.
- Same-day timing: we time the loading in Abu Dhabi so the truck arrives in Dubai when the move-in slot opens.
Moving From Dubai to Abu Dhabi
We move just as many families the other way. The crew comes to your home in Dubai, packs and loads there, drives to Abu Dhabi and sets up the new home, usually the same day for an apartment. At the Abu Dhabi end, towers on Al Reem Island and the gated villa communities usually ask for a move-in permit or gate pass, and we time the arrival to that slot.

How long does a move from Abu Dhabi to Dubai take?
Most apartment moves are done door to door in one day. Larger villas can run into a second day, with packing and loading on day one and delivery and set up on day two. We confirm the timing when we see your home.
Do I need permits at both ends?
Usually, yes. Your Abu Dhabi building or community asks for a move-out permit, and most Dubai towers and communities ask for a move-in permit with a time slot. The permits need your tenancy details, so you apply for them, and we tell you what each building needs and time the move to both slots.
Are DARB and Salik tolls included?
Yes. DARB tolls in Abu Dhabi and Salik gates in Dubai are part of the flat fee and are never added separately.
Do you also move from Dubai to Abu Dhabi?
Yes. We come to your Dubai home, pack and load there, drive to Abu Dhabi and set up the new home the same day for most apartments.
Can you move a villa between Abu Dhabi and Dubai?
Yes. Villa moves cover the gate access at both communities, outdoor furniture and large pieces, usually over one or two days depending on the size.
What is the best time to move between Abu Dhabi and Dubai?
Start early. With loading done by late morning, the truck reaches the other city by early afternoon and set up is finished by evening. Weekdays are easier to book than weekends, and the end of the month is the busiest for lift slots in both cities.
